How can we make a quick sale for our home? Should we use a realtor or for sale by owner?

Our home has been on the market for 7 months now. At first we had an agent from Remax for six months and now we signed with an agent from Exit. We have had no luck what so ever. They don’t seem to be avertising very well so we are wondering if we should just go ahead and list for sale by owner and we can do all the advertising ourselves. Not to mention we could lower our asking price a good $10,000-$15,000. We bought our home through for sale by owner so we know a little bit about the process. We are not looking to make a huge profit off of our home with the way the market is, we want to move out of state and are only looking to get a price in which we can pay off our remaining balance on our loan. Any help on selling our home quickly would be greatly appreciated. We did lots of remodelling already and always try to keep it nice and tidy but this house will not sell. Please help…thanks for your time!

sigh, this is long so bare with me

I have been friends with ” Mary ” for almost 30 yrs. After high school we lost touch but in the last 2.5 yrs we have reclaimed our friendship. She has two kids, one 15, one that just turned 9. A few night ago it has come to my attention that she hasn’t had full guardianship of her kids for like 8 yrs, she sees them on the weekend. There was a time in her life where she couldn’t be the mom she needed to be so her parents got temporary guardianship. Now that 8 yrs have passed ” mary ” tells me a few days ago that her mother is refusing to give up the guardianship ( basically her mom likes the free money the state gives her even though the mom and dad of my friend are well off, not rich but comfotrable )

So all this time she has been portraying like she’s my equal ( dont know if thats the right word to use right now ) but she only sees her kids on the weekend and holidays even though they ONLY live 30 minutes away.

So I’ve been wondering gee with all this time she’s had on her hands without working ( shes been married the last 2.5 yrs ) tv and crotcheing ? I mean there’s no excuse for her being 330 pounds and the health problems she has, if I had no kids around and no job, I’d be working out like a mutha ya know what to get healthy and thin.

She has told me the other day how she needed a break from the kids and Now I’m thinking what a crock ! She’s had enough break (my trip to florida this weekend fell thru and no rest for me )

I feel betrayed and lied too and the fact that she covered this little tidbit of information up and NEVER told me really stinks, she says she has told very few people. She says she trust me with her life but she didnt trust me with this, its not like I talk to anyone else from our hometown where she still lives.

My husband feels that She wanted to portray herself as this very involved mother and she’s not and it was nicely played and fooled me good

So right now I’m keeping my distance to sort my feelings out. She’s still my friend of course but how am I really going to trust what she says to me, she had a history as a teen as being a constant liar ( cant think of the word right thats used for that )

I know this seems simple but I really do well when people betray me or try to pull a fast one on me

how would you feel in this instance and how do you trust someone after a shock like that

I think we need movies to have social responsibilities.
Movies should provide a message. And provide a positive message.

How about this idea for a movie.
There are 3 black friends. Young kids. One is an athlete. One brain. And one guy wants to make fast money. The brain gets a scholarship. Gets a free ride to college. And shows him working hard. And gets a regular 9 to 5 job. The athlete is not a great student. But thinks he can slide on his athletic talent. He goes to college on some athletic scholarship. But he does not get a diploma. He gets hurt and cannot make money. The last kid thinks he can be a drug dealer or something. He gets caught and goes to prison. It shows how bad in prison it is. He gets it in the a$$. Gets beat up. Etc…

Easy way for a twelve year old to make money?

Ok well I currently have $300 to invest if necessary but, I would like it to involve minimal physical labor, as I’m quite lazy. I dont mind doing it, but I’d much rather do something that doesn’t involve it. I’m one of the “Smart Kids” so anything that requires a high mental capacity I should be able to handle. Oh yeah, I’m also turning thirteen in about a month and I’m in eighth grade.

I was thinking I could babysit, since I do live near my neighbors who have children and I know several family friends who could use someone to watch the kids, but my older sister gets all the jobs and even when she’s not available and I am, my mom says I’m too young to babysit. She doesn’t exactly like the idea of being a mother’s helper, either. I’m not old enough for a paper route, and besides, my parents would hate for me to get up early and bike all over the neighborhood every weekend.
